Our Portfolio

The Arivan Capital portfolio encompasses the entirety of our managed assets, including charitable foundation endowments, unrestricted capital and a diverse range of third-party funds that we invest in.

With £420 million AUM, our portfolio demonstrates steady year-on-year growth driven by resilient performance in our legacy public market holdings and strategic appreciation within our private impact allocations. Whilst we retain historical finance-first positions, our strategic migration is well advanced: every new capital commitment made in the past fiscal year adhered strictly to our impact-first mandate, reflecting our disciplined transition towards 100% mission alignment.

The Liquidity Engine: Traditional Asset Allocation

Underpinning our transition to impact is a substantial legacy allocation to global public markets, investment-grade fixed income and diversified absolute return strategies. Managed with a strict emphasis on capital preservation and daily liquidity, this traditional portfolio serves as the stable financial engine of Arivan Capital. We regularly stress-test and rebalance it to make sure our balance sheet stays strong, even when economic conditions change. This financial strength is what allows us to invest patiently in our high-impact projects without putting the family’s long-term security at risk.

A Portfolio in Transition

The Arivan Capital portfolio combines charitable funds and private family investments. We invest globally using a mix of investment funds and direct loans or investments into businesses.

Our main goal is to use all our capital to create positive social and environmental impact before focusing on financial return. This guides every long-term investment decision we make.

We are in the middle of a multi-year process to shift older, traditional investments toward this impact-first approach. In 2025, every new pound we invested met our strict impact standards. This shows that we are steadily changing our portfolio to match our belief that money should first and foremost support people and communities who are most underserved.
